Peruvian exports of asparagus already total 41.5 million dollars.

During the first two months of 2021, Peru exported 12.897.096 kilos of fresh asparagus for a FOB value of 41.461.974 dollars. These figures show a slight contraction from the 13.627.268 kilos exported in the same period of 2020 for 45.074.880 dollars.

The main destination of these deliveries between January and February 2021 was the United States, with placements for $ 21.583.000; followed by the Netherlands with $ 8.171.000; Spain with $ 3.866.000, the United Kingdom with $ 3.821.000, Belgium with $ 768.000 and Canada with $ 306.000, according to Agrodata Peru.

Fresh asparagus shipments in 2020 totaled 119.022.000 kilos for 359.800.000 dollars, compared to 131.700.000 kilos worth 393.700.000 dollars, achieved for the same concept in the last year, showing a decrease of -9.63 percent in volume and -8.61 percent in value.

In 2020, Peruvian asparagus exports in all its presentations (fresh, frozen and preserved) totaled 158.317.000 kilos for a value of 488.618.000 dollars, which means a decrease of -8.8 percent in volume and -8.4 percent in value, compared to the 173.800.000 kilos reached in 2019 for 533.292.000 dollars.
