Mexico: Lower food prices drive lower inflation in November

Among the products with the greatest price reductions, zucchini and lemon stand out.
In November, annual inflation in Mexico was 4.61%, slightly below analysts' expectations, who had projected a range between 4.53% and 5.71%. Two of the 34 financial institutions consulted were correct in their forecasts.
Among the products with the largest reductions in prices, lemon (-23.5%), zucchini (-11.1%), carrot (-10.9%), avocado (-7.3%), potatoes and other tubers (-5.5%) stand out.
On the other hand, the largest increases were recorded in electricity (+22.3%), following the end of the warm season tariff program in 11 cities.
