Kiwifruit prices in Shanghai market are set to continue increasing well into the new year following supply shortages.
Domestic fruit has reached US$1.1 per kg, with imported kiwifruit peaking at US$5.2 per kg. Shanghai Xishu Fruits attributed the shortage to an increase in fruit purchased for juice-making purposes ahead of the Olympics.
