European operations boost Fyffes

In a trading statement, Fyffes has said that its sales in the first half of the year have been better than expected. The group noted favourable market conditions, especially in its continental Europe operations. Fyffes also said that it is intending to invest a further EUR 22 million in new properties to develop its Produce activities in a number of locations across Europe, with the largest of these being in Edinburgh, Scotland.
