Polish berries farmers fearing of lack of labour for harvest

As it was announced on air in 3-rd channel of polish TV (regional TV), polish farmer planting various types of berries fruit like raspberries, blueberries, strawberries and various currants are loudly calling for help as they are worrying that there will be no enough labourers to pick fruit in time of oncoming harvest. There is no much time left as first strawberries are ready to be picked in end of May and due to EU law which opened labour markets in many countries for polish workers many of them left Poland seeking better paid jobs abroad. There are estimations showing that more than 1 million people left country in 2006 in search for better paid jobs.
The Administration and Internal Affairs Ministry inquired by local self-governments announced in TV that is considering a project of new regulations allowing workers from Ukraine, and China to come to Poland for temporary period of three months in order to increase number of labourers on the market.
Towards ukrainian workers no visa and work permit would be required - however china workers would need visa for three months.
The new regulations are expected to come to power as soon as possible.
