Peruvian pomegranate exports decrease

Peru's pomegranate exports showed a sharp drop in January 2023, compared to the same month of the previous year.

 

 

 

According to Agrodata Peru, in the first month of 2023 the country exported 832,249 kilos of the fruit for a value of $1,914,167.

 

 

 

In the same month of 2022, Peru sent 2,598,705 kilos worth $5,969,538 of pomegranate.

 

 

 

The Netherlands is positioned as the main recipient of the fruit, constituting 81% of the total value. Germany formed 8%, Colombia 4%, France 3%, Belgium 2%, Brazil 2%, among others.
