Meet Kwik Lok at trade shows both in the U.S. and Europe

Kwik Lok is one of the global leaders in bag closures. The company’s mission is to guarantee the food people eat is being kept fresh and safe. Next week, Kwik Lok will participate in the IFPA trade show in Orlando (the U.S.) with the aim to showcase its recent innovations.
“We are committed to bringing more eco-friendly options to the modern market, and we have a number of them now,” highlights Kwik Lok Sr. VP of Customer Engagement, Ron Cardey.
For over 2 years, the team of Kwik Lok’s engineers worked on the updated version of the 865 closing machine. “Our new 865B closing machine has a more powerful motor, new safety features, and updated controls,'' comments Cardey.
“In early September, Kwik Lok participated in the Australian Fine Foods trade show. Organizers reviewed 500 new products for best new products of the year. Kwik Lok’ Fiber-Lok, which is our more sustainable option, finished in the top 3”, continues the VP.
Karen Reed, Global Director of Marketing and Communications, says: “We are very aware that it’s a challenging time for customers due to the impacts of the supply chain. World pressures are driving costs up, making it hard to do business, and this is why it’s really important to us to work closely with customers, to better understand what those pressures are. For example, when we were developing the Fiber-Lok, it was super important that the closure we develop could be run easily through the machines people already have. We are clear that customers don’t have extra funds to make additional investments and need to use the assets they already have.”
“In the area of material science and sustainability, what we’re finding is that more and more customers are getting on the sustainability spectrum, but they’re all in different places. It’s important for us, as a supplier to so many produce customers around the world, to try to meet them where they are today. There is no one solution, it depends on where you’re at, both geographically and in your objectives, so it’s complicated. In Kwik Lok, we have made important investments in materials science and have scientists and engineers on staff to help lead our work.", concludes Cardey.
For those who cannot make it to IFPA and would like to get acquainted with the Kwik Lok’s team in Europe, in February 2023, the company will participate in Fruit Logistica in Berlin.
