German group Rewe will open 13 new Penny Market discount outlets in Romania.
The German group Rewe says it plans to expand its Penny Market discount chain in Romania.
Rewe will invest 45 million euros to open 13 new Penny Market outllets to bring the total to 129 in Romania
by the end of 2011.
This shows a trend of rapid expansion for Penny Market in Romania, which had 99 stores in late 2009 and 116 late 2010. Last year its turnover was up 4.3% over the previous year, exceeding 435 million euros.
