Harvesting of colored apples has started in Europe

Kissabel® is the brand that identifies the different varieties of apples with colored flesh - from pink to intense red - developed using exclusively natural selection techniques.
Kissabel®, the innovative range of apples with colored flesh ranging from pink to intense red, is about to return to the European market
The harvest of the first Kissabel® apples began in September in the United Kingdom, France and Switzerland, with varieties with yellow and orange skin and pink flesh. In October, it will be onto Italy and Germany, where we mainly harvest varieties with red skin and flesh.
Some of the biggest names in international apple growing are participating in the Kissabel® program. In Europe, the partners are:
- France: Alliance Mesfruits Gerfruit, Blue Whale,
- Italy: VOG, Melinda, VIP, La Trentina, Rivoira,
- United Kingdom: Greenyard, Worldwide Fruit Ltd,
- Switzerland: Fenaco,
- Germany: Consortium Red Apple Germany
- Spain: Nufri.
In the United States, harvest will begin in the fall, with quantities destined for commercial testing. The American partner is NBT Cooperative.
