Controls on food imports from Japan are more tighter.
The European Union has announced that it strengthens controls on imports of Japanese food with tests for the presence of plutonium.
The U.S. administration, the FDA, announced a temporary ban on imports of vegetables, fruits and dairy products from areas in Japan which were affected by radiation.
Singapore has suspended imports of fruit and vegetables from the Kanto region in Japan after detecting radioactive contaminants on 2 samples of vegetables. The Philippines, Thailand and China have also announced restrictions on Japanese imports.
