The new Sentinel II of TOMRA Sorting Food was successfully presented on Fruit Arrtaction 18-20 of October. Its development, designed for the selection of whole product, is optimal for the Spanish market and Portuguese.
As Alejandro Palacios, Sales Director of TOMRA Sorting Food for Spain and Portugal, said: "until now there were very sophisticated alternatives, which only responded to the demand of 5% of customers, or very basic solutions, with little resolution, were able to respond adequately to the needs of customers. "
Without any doubt, the Sentinel II covers a wide spectrum of the market and the forecasts are more than promising. "Initially the potato and the pepper were the most immediate applications in which we wanted to concentrate, but quickly, we have been able to verify that peaches, oranges, lemons and, of course, tomatoes will be the next segments that will see the advantages of this classifier. We have just finished developing a specific version for green beans that besides a correct classification of the product is able to detect foreign bodies such as snakes, mice, bottles or cans, "concludes Palacios.
Pedro García, Director of Sales at Luciano Aguilar, complements the vision of Palacios. "We are very pleased with the good acceptance of the new Sentinel II from TOMRA Sorting Food. During the fair we have made known its advantages and visitors have been able to see that its development for the classification of whole product has a great variety of applications and, therefore, is optimal for our market."
