Moroccan exports declining

Europe, the leading customer of fruits and vegetables from Morocco, reduces its demand and causes a decrease in exports.
European demand is out of steam and Moroccan exports decline.
The EACCE (Autonomous Establishment of control and coordination of exports) released statistics that show a decline of exports. Between 1 September 2012 and 31 March 2013 the volume of fruits and vegetables shipped abroad decreased by 8% (889 250 tonnes instead of 966 056 tonnes) compared to the same period 2011-2012.
By product category, citrus volumes declined by 17% (350 172 tonnes instead of 424 152 tonnes) for the same period. Tomato exports decreased by 5%, shipments of potatoes and green beans also dropped.
