Positive forecasts for Greek almonds

Greek almond production is expected to be around 16,000 tonnes for the 2005/2006 marketing year. Good weather conditions have meant that the quality of the crop is expected to be very good or excellent. About a quarter of the production is exported, with Germany and Italy being the main markets.
