China - continued confusion

Confusion still surrounds the strawberry harvest in China, the early varieties have now been picked with Senga coming on line but the suppliers seem reluctant to offer goods until they have assessed the total crop situation. Offers are out their and range from US$1350-1600 per ton, but our sources are sceptical about these offers and also the quality which they are being processed to. Turkey should be online in the next 7-10 days which may have an effect on the Chinese situation once prices hit the market.
