High-profile speakers lined up for Fresh Produce Vietnam

Vietnam's first fresh produce conference will feature a number of expert speakers.
Fresh Produce Vietnam, the first ever conference event for Vietnam's fresh produce professionals, will feature a number of high profile international speakers aiming to share their experience and knowledge with delegates.
The event, which takes place between 2-4 April in Ho Chi Minh City, will focus on the growth potential of Vietnam's fresh fruit and vegetable business, with over 250 of the industry's top decision makers networking and discussing how best to develop the country's fresh produce sales.
Speakers include Dale Washington of Promitor, one of Vietnam's key importers, and Craig Stauffer of Vanguard International for whom Vietnam is becoming a key market.
Bjarne Waldstrom of LCL and Barry Akbar of APL are on hand to discuss the logistical challenges that both companies are working on, while HortResearch's Michael Lay-Yee will outline his company's latest work in the country. Sigrid Wertheim-Heck of Fresh Studio Innovations will talk about how Vietnamese shoppers are demanding better quality from their fruits and vegetables.
John Hey, editor of event organiser Asiafruit Magazine, is due to sign up more exciting speakers for the conference programme in the coming weeks.
