The European Bee Friendly label arrives in France
FJ
Presented at the trade fair of Agriculture, the European label Bee Friendly arrived in France.
From the end of 2014, the Bee Friendly label on some products will assure consumers that their products respected bees. Inspected each year by an external auditor, certified producers must comply with 27 specific and measurable criteria. Among these requirements: non-use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs), the development of biodiversity preservation areas, collaboration with local beekeepers, the prohibition of certain pesticides deemed harmful for bees, such as neonicotinoids .
Conventional agriculture can receive the label "Bee Friendly" regarding 2 agricultural sectors at the moment: fruits and vegetables (with partner the Earth Tomorrow ) and daily products (with the partner The 2 Cows).
