Citrosuco + Citrovita = first world producer of orange juice

The two Brazilian companies Citrosuco & Citrovita will create a joint venture that will become the first orange juice company in the world.

 
A 50% share of the merged entity will be owned by Votorantim (which controls Citrovita, the 3rd largest exporter of juice), the other by the Fischer Group (owner of Citrosuco, 2nd world exporter).

 
This new entity will produce 25% of the global orange juice production, will generate nearly 1,100 million U.S. $ and will have facilities in Brazil, the United States, Australia, Japan and Belgium.

 
This joint venture has received approval from the European Commission and is still awaiting the approval of the CADE, the Brazilian antitrust agency.
