Results of the kiwifruit campaign in Piedmont

Tony Bongiovanni, Fructidor's country manager for Italy, informs us of the results of the kiwifruit campaign in Piedmont. This latter, which had started rapidly in October/November, is announced worse than envisaged. Indeed, several factors come into play: one season started too early (September) with certain producers; an almost total stop of the market in January/February; a bad conservation of kiwifruit and a fall of exports towards the USA and Canada related to the war in Iraq.
