Canada, Chile, and Spain are solidifying their positions as leading destinations.
Between weeks 35 and 42 of this year, Peru exported 3,500 tons of fresh mangoes, a 239% increase compared to the same period last year, according to a local news outlet.
These shipments reached US$8.2 million, a 162% growth compared to the same period in the previous season.
However, the average price decreased by 22%, reaching US$2.32 per kilogram. This growth is attributed to an earlier start to the export season. The main export destinations for Peruvian fresh mangoes were Canada (1,094 tons, a 310% increase), Chile (847 tons), and Spain (457 tons, a 12% increase).
