Cora invests in Romania

Since 8 years in Romania, the French retailer Cora plans to invest there more than in other countries of Eastern Europe.
Cora plans to invest 140 million Euros this year. The opening of a shopping center, superstores and expansion of existing stores are planned. Cora operates 3 types of stores in Romania: hypermarket of 10,000 sqm (Bucharest), 7000 to 8.000 m² (Drobeta Turnu Severin) and 5,000 sqm (Baia Mare).
The turnover of the company in 2010 recorded an increase of 3% compared to 2009, earnings amounted to 330 million Euros. Cora predicts a turnover and an increase in profitability for this year.
