Early potatoes from Ile de Noirmoutier start the season

With the beginning of April started the harvest of famous early potatoes from Ile de Noirmoutier.
40 producers from this island located on west coast of Atlantic plan to collect about 12.000 tons of these early potatoes.
The Island is particularly well-known for premium sort “Bonnottes” which is nowadays harvested for 100 tons only.
The remain sorts are: “Sirtema” – 5.000 tons, “Lady Christl”- 5.000 tons and “Charlotte” – 3.000 tons.
