The Brazilian apple sector expects to be able to export 10% less apples this season.
This is caused by damage to the fruit as a result of hail.
According to the Brazilian growers, the quality is excellent. The apples have a beautiful colour and are of good sizes.
As a result of last year's flooding the infrastructure in certain parts of the country is severely damaged and consequently the distribution is not running as smoothly everywhere as it should.
