This is what says Süleyman Kocasert, Vice-Chairman of Turkish Exporters, adding "that exporters are very pleased to see that trade relations between Russia and Turkey will normalize by the end of 2016", after the much anticipated visit of the President of the Turkish Republic in Russia on Tuesday.
The losses would be about 40 percent for the past nine months. The fruit and vegetables and the tourism sector has been hit hard as well as the construction sector.
According to Mr. Kocasert, the Turkish economy is expected to recover from the shortfall between 6 and 12 months.
The statements of the two leaders are entirely made for the resumption of relations between the two countries and the target of $ 100 billion exports to Turkey would be an achievable figure, according to Mr. Kocasert.
