Russian retail chains plan to import produce without any help of suppliers, because most suppliers are not able to provide required volumes of produce within short terms.
Some retailers have started to import produce and at the moment plan to increase the share of their own supplies due to crisis.
Specialists report that all costs for establishing own distribution department by retail chains will be repaid by customers. As market participants report that prices for many foreign products increased by 30 % and many importers are not able to supply large lots of produce.
Specialists reckon that importing foreign products is profitable for supermarkets of premium class.
