Results distressing the US where 40% of women, 35% men and 17% of children and adolescents are obese.
The latest report (June 2016) has just been published by JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association). These studies looked at data from 2638 men and 2817 women for adults and a group totaling of 40,780 subjects for children and adolescents aged 2 to 17 years. The study shows that a total of 38% of adults and 17% of adolescents are obese in the United States.
Prevention and various campaigns have therefore not been successful. Yet prevention must continue to try to reverse this expansion. Doctors suggest new approaches and cooperation with the industries of the agro-food and catering.
