Surge in Peruvian strawberry exports

In Peru, strawberry exports between January and May 2023 performed an increase, if compared to the same lapse in 2022. 

Until May of the ongoing year, the country exported 13.588.868 kilos of the berry worth $22.281.771, according to Agrodata Perú.

In the same term of 2022, Peru exported 9.235.927 kilos of strawberries worth $17.933.502.

The major recipients through May 2023 were the United States (34% of total value), Canada (27%), Guatemala (21%), Korea (6%), Mexico (5%) and others.
