Nut sales at record levels

Sales of nuts in the UK have soared thanks to increased consumer awareness about their health benefits. According to Tesco, sales of Brazil nuts increased by 600 percent in 2004, while walnut sales increased by 321 percent. The nut market in the UK is thought to be worth around £200 million.
