Unusual rains resulted in heavy losses for the production of lychees.
The region of Muzaffarpur, in the state of Bihar, north-east India, is known as the N ° 1 region for lychees. This year, abnormal rainfalls, well before the monsoon, have jeopardized the production of lychees. Producers estimated the losses more than 50% of the crop.
