The American brand Green Giant, a specialist in vegetables, conducts an annual survey of consumers to determine which vegetables they prefer. In this 2022 survey, the most cited vegetables were broccoli, corn, carrots, potatoes and asparagus.
This 2022 survey confirmed, as in 2021, that broccoli is the favorite vegetable of American consumers. Broccoli has been chosen as the #1 vegetable in 29 US states. Corn was chosen in 11 states and carrots were chosen in ten states.
The survey also revealed that a large majority (68%) of parents surveyed say that their children like to eat vegetables, contrary to popular opinion.
The survey was conducted among 5,321 US consumers aged 18-94 who agreed to complete an online survey in April and May 2022.
