Peruvian frozen strawberry exports volume rose by 67% in 2021

In 2021, Peru exported 30.000 tons of frozen strawberries, which reflects an increase of almost 67% compared to the 20.000 tons shipped in 2020, according to the president of the consulting firm Inform@cción, Fernando Cillóniz Benavides.

The value of these supplies in 2021 totaled $60 million, +57% compared to the $38.2 million achieved in 2020.

In 2021, the main destination markets for Peruvian frozen strawberries were North America with 23.300 tons ($46.6 million), Latin America with 3.200 tons ($6.2 million), Asia with 3.000 tons ($6.4 million), Europe with 300 tons ($600 thousand), and Oceania with 100 tons ($200 thousand).
