After 4 years of inactivity, the Puerto Coquimbo Terminal (TPC) renews citrus exports to northern Chile, according to local media.
The Coquimbo region concentrates 35% of all citrus exported from Chile. After the closure of the port in 2018, local production was sent to other terminals to reach export markets, having to pass more than 450 kilometers.
According to TPC, this month of July two ships were sent with local products. The first shipment included 1,200 pallets of citrus produced in and around the area, and a week ago another 1,400 pallets were sent directly to the United States.
