US food retailer Winn Dixie has announced that it will sell or close 326 of its 913 stores.
The company, which filed for bankruptcy in January 2005, will also close a number of distribution centres and manufacturing plants.
The restructuring is expected to cost around 22,000 jobs, 28 percent of the workforce.
The company said that it expects its annual sales to fall to around US$7.5 billion, compared to the current figure of around $10 billion.
