Downturn in 2014 the value of exports

The exports value of fresh Fruits & Vegetables decreased in 2014.

According to the Customs Department , quoted by FEPEX , the value of Spanish exports of Fruits & Vegetables decreased in 2014. By totaling EUR 10,475 million last year , a decline of 2% compared to 2013.

As regards volumes, the trend remains positive with 12 million tonnes exported , up 2%.

The revenue generated by vegetables amounted to € 4,270 million or -1.4% compared to the previous year.

With tomatoes (-3%) , lettuce (-3%) , cucumber (-3.5%) . Instead vegetable export volumes increased by 7% and totaled 5 million tons .

Fruit exports realized € 6,204 million or 2.3% for a volume of 7 million tons, down 1.2% compared to the previous year.
