Groupon India surfs on the price of onions

Onions at discounted prices in Groupon India which has succeeded a publicity stunt .

The site Groupon India, which offers such other sites Groupon discounts on products (beauty, fashion ...) and services (restaurants, ...), also sells onions at discounted prices. Galloping inflation on the price of onions is currently raging in the country. The price per kilo has just reached 85 rupees (€ 0.98) and even 100 rupees (€ 1.16) in the Indian capital.

Groupon India has proposed onions at 9 rupees (€ 0.10) per kilogram, price lower by 90% of the market price. The site offers only 3000 kgs of onions per day and for a period of 7 days. The offer is online at 13:00, sales are made in a few minutes, each customer is limited to one kilo of onions, shipping is free in 78 cities.
