Decline of plantations in the state of São Paulo.
According to data from CDA (coordinating body of agriculture) the state of São Paulo lost with the deletion of approximately 62.7 million trees, the equivalent of 150 000 hectares of citrus in 3 years .
The crisis in the sector (2 seasons of negative return 2012/13 and 2013/14) has forced many producers to reduce their plantations. Other farms (approximately 28%) even resigned citrus production.
For the season 2014/15, the production is limited with a more restricted number of trees.
