End of crisis for FamilyMart

FamilyMart, the Japanese chain of convenience stores, has recorded a 5,4% increase of its profit and 11,1% in sales for the financial year ending February 28th. The group is being restructuring and forecasts a 40% rise of its net profit in 2002-2003. Some 300 non-profitable stores will be shut whereas the opening of 500 new selling points is planned.
