Interko expects Russian and CIS markets to grow
Demand for reliable ripening rooms is growing among local ripening operators in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS or Russian Commonwealth). Dutch manufacturer of fresh fruit ripening rooms, Interko, has high hopes for expansion ahead of attending WorldFood Moscow.
Managing Director/Partner Chris Maat explains: “Interko remains committed to Russia and the CIS, and there is still potential to expand here. Considering that we manufacture a complete range of the most efficient ripening rooms on the market with an automated ripening process, we believe we can bring a number of benefits to local operators.”
Interko will present the very latest in modern fresh fruit ripening technology, and demonstrate its latest technological advancements. Senior Business Development Manager Anna Zegveld shares: “Interko has a lot of technical expertise when it comes to fruit ripening, so come to our stand to find out how we can help you! We are offering complimentary consultations during which we can quickly analyse your daily energy consumption to calculate how our solutions can give you very low daily running costs.” The company invites any retailer, importer, distributor, wholesaler or food processor to visit their stand.
Chris adds: “There is still so much we can inform operators in Russia and the CIS about how Interko’s high quality, energy-efficient, cost-effective and European-built ripening technology can improve product quality and raise profitability for any business large or small. Thanks to their low energy consumption and clever design, our systems are designed to cut operational costs, and ripen any fruit to perfection. What’s more, we keep track of our customers’ results to ensure operators can maximise the performance of their ripening rooms, and minimise their costs on an ongoing basis.”
Interko’s product range includes three styles of ripening room:
- Ultimo, a large volume room that is ideal for ripening bananas;
- Axesso, a flexible system with random access capability for the precision ripening of interchangeable loads of fruits, such as mangoes or avocados;
- and Optimo, a sophisticated, turn-key solution that can adapt to accommodate from 8 up to 24 pallets of fresh bananas, avocados or mangoes.
All rooms come fitted with Interko’s revolutionary REVERSO fans.
All Interko’s ripening technology is built in the Netherlands, and designed bespoke to the user and their requirements. Anna comments: “No matter what your logistical requirements are for fruit ripening, Interko can deliver the solution to suit your needs because we tailor each system to the individual customer.”
Any business with fruit ripening operations should email Interko to make an appointment to meet in Moscow. Interko will exhibit in Hall 13, Stand B-174, at WorldFood Moscow, which this year moves to a new venue, the Crocus Expo, on 24-27 September 2019. Both Interko’s Managing Director/Partner Chris Maat, and Senior Business Development Manager Anna Zegveld will be present at the show.
