Lack of labour in the asparagus sector

An uncertain future for the Andalusian asparagus. Indeed, the lack of qualified labour and high production costs are the main difficulties of the Spanish producers every year. The producers of white asparagus based in Seville and Extremadura, the most affected ones, ask the region to take measures in order to employ foreigners for the season.
