Florida citrus crop to meet domestic demand
United States
Friday 15 October 2004
Despite a reduction in this year's crop due to hurricane damage, The Florida Department of Citrus has said that Florida juice and fresh fruit will be available across the United States.
Compared to last year, the orange crop is down by 27 percent and the grapefruit crop is down by 68 percent.
However, the crop, supplemented by existing juice reserves, should be enough to provide for the US market.
