Peruvian potatoes and onions could open the door to a more diverse export offering.
In order to strengthen its agricultural exports, Peru is working to access the Panamanian market with products such as onions and fresh potatoes, in addition to promoting the inclusion of other national products, according to a Peruvian media.
Last Tuesday, the head of the National Agricultural Health Service (Senasa), Vilma Gutarra, held a meeting with the Panamanian Ambassador to Peru, Dante Pescetto Foppiano, and the Second Secretary of the Diplomatic Career, Walquiria Rodriguez, to coordinate efforts in phytosanitary cooperation.
Senasa emphasized that this type of management opens new doors for small Peruvian producers, helping them to diversify their export destinations and improve their competitiveness in the international market.
