After two years of intense negotiations, the grapes from Egypt will be able to be exported to China.
AEC (Agriculture Export Council) has just announced that China has agreed to import grapes from Egypt. This agreement has just concluded a series of negotiations that began two years ago. Further discussions are still under way to allow other Egyptian agricultural products to enter the Chinese market.
According to AEC estimates, the area of table grapes covers about 7% of the areas dedicated to fruit. Citrus fruits remain at the top of the list, accounting for 43% of the area.
