Opportunity to conquer the Russian market for Indian exports

A market in the state of Goa (southeast India) illustrates the richness of the country's production, which reached nearly 8% of the world fruit production and about 15% of world production of vegetables.

The Russian import ban on European agricultural products is seen as a unique opportunity to capture market share by Indian exporters.

APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority), the Indian export organization of agricultural and processed products, announced it has received multiple requests from Russia.

Russian companies, including large retail chains, seeking to import potatoes, cabbage, carrots, squash, garlic, tomatoes, onions, peppers, mushrooms, apples, oranges , bananas, pears, among others.

India exports agricultural products to Russia for an annual amount of approximately USD 100 million. This amount should now increase dramatically.
