The increase in Argentine production should lead to an increase in exports for 2012/2013.
The production and export of Argentine lemons should increase.
According to data from the USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture), Argentinian production is expected to reach 1.45 million tons in 2012/2013. The previous season production totaled 1.3 million tons.
The export of lemons should remain stable at 265,000 tons, but with surplus production and market conditions, Argentine professionals feel they have the capacity to export up to 350,000 tons.
