Russia closed its borders for Turkish pomegranates and peppers

After the famous fall of a Russian plane by Turkey , Russia does not end to impose economic sanctions on Turkey .

It is now the turn of Turkish pomegranates and peppers . Rosselkhoznadzor , the Russian Agency for Food Control , announced in writing that Turkish peppers and pomegranates products contained substances that are harmful to health , and for this reason direct imports or through third countries are prohibited from the March 17, 2016 .

The pomegranate was the third most exported fruit in 2015 by Turkey, with a little less of100 000 tonnes while the pepper is the second most vegetable exported in 2015, with over 78,000 tonnes
