Agriculture is no longer just seen as a cause of global warming (14% of greenhouse gases) but as a part of the solution through photosynthesis of crops

Many experts will discuss the sustainable and resilient soil management, water resources and new climate risks. Innovative solutions focusing on science and technology will be presented and the strategies and investments needed to reproduce with widespread success.
At the end of the discussions, the key recommendations will be recorded and can be used to develop a framework for the implementation of the Moroccan initiative for AAA (Adaptation of African Agriculture). With this initiative the Morocco pleads for more funding from the international community. African agriculture would receive only 16% of funds earmarked climate, the Moroccan initiative aims to mobilize USD 30 billion for Africa to transform and adapt its agriculture to climate change.
All African countries have included agriculture in their climate action plans, called Determined Contributions to the National Scale (INDC, Intended Nationally Determined Contributions) but does not have sufficient resources to implement these commitments.
