In the Mexican state of Sinaloa , the forecast for mango exports have lowered.
In a normal season, export volumes totaled about 40 000 tonnes of mangoes. This year, the initial forecasts were betting on higher volumes held account of good flowering and good earliness.
Unfortunately, some problems came to disturb these forecasts. Strong winds have affected a part of the production. Professionals now predict a possible export volume of 30 000 tonnes.
The state of Sinaloa exports mangoes (varieties Ataúlfo , Haden , Kent, Keeit ) to the United States and to several European countries.
