Russian objective for Michoacán lemons

The region of Michoacán wants to strengthen its exports and began the year with a promotional campaign in Russia.
The region of Michoacán exports only 12.5% ??of its annual production and plans to increase its shipments abroad.
Michoacán produces 800,000 tons of citrus annually of which only 100,000 tons are sold abroad. The priority of of producer associations is to increase exports.
Among the projects for international sales, a Russia plays an important part and will be a target in February.
A boat load of lemons as well as other local products (avocados, mangoes, figs) will head to the Russian Federation. The country that consumes a lot of citrus, particularly from Brazil, will discover Mexican products.
