Egypt, a promising market for the Australian sector

A delegation of producers will visit Egypt before the end of the year to discuss the proposal.

 

Egypt is the world's largest producer of potato seeds and supplies around 100,000 tonnes a year to Europe. But, while enjoying four plantations each year, Egypt sometimes experiences problems that often occur during the July planting. The month of July which corresponds in Australia to the autumn harvest and the peak of production.

 

Work on this project could last a few months, including a trade mission with an Egyptian delegation invited by Australian professionals.
