Prognosfruit 2014

Prognosfruit was organized by mutual cooperation of WAPA (World Apple and Pear Producers Association) and MEYED (Turkish Fruit Juice Industry Association) and supported by Anadolu Etap which performs Turkey’s biggest fruit growing and fruit juice project.

The conference has attracted growers, processors and traders from across Europe and has also been a networking opportunity for decision makers which attended the conference. Prognosfruit has purposed to unveil the forecast of production for apple and pears and also debriefing the development of the previous season while setting some trends for the upcoming season. The conference also provided sharing sectorial analyses, future objectives, professional foresights and developments at markets.

Besides of these topics, the conference also gave opportunity to discuss solutions on some of the issues on sector problems.

It is worth noting that Turkish apple exports in the first semester of 2014 has passed from about 14.000 tons to more than 84.000 tons.
