Interpoma will take an interest in water management in the orchard

Interpoma is the one and only international exhibition dedicated to the apple world. The 2022 event will focus on issues related to sustainability and will reward, with Interpoma Award, technological innovations in the field of water saving.

 

Interpoma will be held at Fiera Bolzano (Italy) from November 17 to 19. Innovative techniques to optimize water management in orchards to the maximum, saving and improving yield or fruit quality, will be the focus of the next Interpoma Award 2022, the competition organized by Fiera Bolzano in collaboration with the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Bolzano and SOI, the Italian Horticultural Society.

 

"Sustainability in agriculture is a challenge that concerns the whole world. We too want to do our part!" commented Thomas Mur, director of Fiera Bolzano. "The production of apples requires water, which is natural, but today technology can allow maximizing water consumption, offering solutions that could project the Italian apple-related sector to the forefront. guard in this area".

 

Interpoma Award 2022 will be awarded in 2 categories: one reserved for companies or individuals, the other for start-ups. The evaluations will be made by a jury composed of university professors, researchers and international experts and will be based on the products or services offered, such as machines, systems, components and devices.
